Where are you located?
My studio is in Blouberg, Cape Town, South Africa. But I do events and travel with a mobile studio for functions and tours.
When is your studio open?
A select number of Open Studio days are held each month in Cape Town, depending on my availability.
How do I book a session?
You buy your session online via the booking portal that will add your date in the calendar.
Do you take walk-ins during Open Studio days?
Sessions are by appointment only.
What’s the difference between an Open Studio Session and a Private Session?
Open Studio Sessions are on days where I’m open to the public and see many clients – generally one right after another. Sessions are 5 minutes in duration including time for brief interpretation. Booking for Open Studio Sessions are only available up to 7 days in advance and tend to fill up quickly.
Private Sessions are a highly personalized service where I’m open and available for a very limited number of clients – no more than 2 sessions per day. Sessions begin at 20 minutes in duration for Individuals and Duos, including time for in-depth interpretation and questions. Written out session notes are also included. Private Sessions are only booked up to a month in advance. I’m unable to book further than 30 days into the future.
Can I book an Open Studio Session a few weeks or months in advance?
I’m unable to pre-book Open Studio Sessions weeks or months in advance – these bookings are generally only a week or two out at a time when I’m available to the general public.
Why is no availability showing for upcoming weeks or months? Are you booked through the end of the year?
When available, I release Open Studio appointment slots each week, meaning you can only book up to 7-14 days in advance.
For example, if the current month is January 2021, I only know my availability for January 2021 and am unable to offer insight into availability for Feb – Dec. 2021
I see an available Open Studio date coming up in a couple weeks, but there are no times to book? Does this mean you are sold out?
We do not book Open Studio Sessions that far in advance— please check back within the week of the upcoming available date to book.
What is your cancellation/refund policy?
All session purchases are final. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate reschedules, cancellations, refunds or no-shows. I’m unable to transfer your session to a later date, or provide a credit. No exceptions.
If you’re unable to make it to your session for any reason, you’re more than welcome to send a friend in your place.
In case you are running late, I will do my absolute best to accommodate you, but no guarantees.
How long is an Open Studio Session or Tour Session?
Open Studio and Tour Sessions are 5 minutes in duration. The actual photo portion of the session takes about 60 seconds. The majority of our brief time together will be going over interpretation.
Can I take a portrait with more than 2 people?
I am only able to accommodate up to 2 people per portrait together.
Can I bring in my child for a solo portrait?
I’m happy to accommodate well-behaved children ages 6+ for solo sittings.
The hands of children under 6 unfortunately are too small for the adult-sized hand sensors, which is the reason for this age limit.
We are unable to photograph infants or toddlers by themselves.
Can I bring my infant or toddler under the age of 6 for a portrait with me?
Yes! However, because their hands are too small for the adult sized hand sensors, their aura will not show up in the portrait.
The portrait will reveal how your energy is when your child is with you. This is not a combination of your auras, like with our typical 2-person sittings.
Is this process safe for pregnant women?
Know that this shows only the energy of the mother being pregnant with her baby.
The baby’s aura/energy does not show up as separate from mom, or as a color over mom’s belly.
Do you take solo portraits of pets?
Yes! These private sessions are by request.
Can you take a portrait of my pet and I together?
Unfortunately, since my equipment is not designed for humans and animals together, we do not offer this service.
How do I purchase a gift session?
Gift sessions can be purchased via a voucher. The person gifted may then book via our online booking using their voucher number.
I don’t recommend purchasing a gift session for someone who lives outside of Cape Town because I can’t guarantee availability around their specific travel or personal schedules.
Gift sessions are only redeemable during Open Studio Days, for an Open Studio Session.
All gift session purchases are final, no refunds.
How do I redeem a gift session I have received?
Gift sessions are only redeemable during Open Studio Days, for an Open Studio Session. Gift session certificates are not redeemable for Private Sessions or Extended Sessions on Open Studio Days.
Receiving a gift session does not grant special access to booking a session in advance, outside of our normal process.
Gift session codes are good for one calendar year, for the city purchased and are non-transferable and non-refundable.
These codes are to be used for booking a future Open Studio Session, without having to provide payment at the time of booking.

Do you offer group rates or special discounts?
As multiple hard costs are associated with each and every single image we shoot on out-of-production, deadstock professional packfilm kept in a cold storage warehouse to maintain the integrity of the film, discounts are not available for my services.

What is your COVID-19 policy?
You MUST wear a mask to enter my studio and at pop-ups.
During your session, you may take your mask off briefly while you are being photographed. Once we begin discussing interpretation, your mask must be back on.
You will be required to clean your hands with alcohol-based hand sanitizer provided by us before and after your portrait is taken. During our consultation period, there will be a plexi barrier between us for extra precaution.
Our equipment is being sterilized with a special UVC light treatment in between every session. Additionally, we are also cleaning all surfaces and equipment with a 24 hour disinfectant, and have a H13 Medical Grade HEPA Air Purifier running to filter the air in our studio.
Please do not book a session of any kind if you are feeling sick or have the flu. In the case you become sick, or test positive for COVID-19 we unfortunately are unable to reschedule you or provide a refund. We ask that you book responsibly. All session purchases are final.
